Expanding urban populations are producing ever-increasing MSW streams, resulting in expanding needs for new landfills — with all the accompanying issues of land acquisition and lengthy reviews for planning and environmental approvals. As a result we need to dedicate land and resources to secure landfills which still generate residual greenhouse gases — and landfill operators are running out of suitable sites. In many developing countries the problem is more acute because landfills are often not environmentally secure or are overwhelmed by excess dumped garbage. Modern society continues to add to the problem. The need is for a system which delivers an effective solution for MSW.

ARC provides a MSW solution with the ARC Process™, an innovative and comprehensive patent-pending system that can cost-effectively segregate and process all MSW components in one continuous process – by using ground-breaking, patent-pending technologies to segregate and process more than 70% of the contents of MSW into environmentally friendly products which are high quality and profitable alternatives to virgin material composition products or fuels.
ARC’s Bio-digester utilizes the Black Soldier Fly
(Hermetia illucens) to consume all digestible organics
in a continuous process, creating highly marketable
insect meal and a nutrient-rich compost.
Refuse Derived Reductant™ (RDR) a lower cost, lower
pollutant industrial reductant utilizes the carbon-
calorific content in the full spectrum of the plastic
waste stream to replace virgin sources of carbon such as
coking coal in smelting processes.
The ARC Process™ was developed by ARC Ento Tech Ltd., an Australian-based company founded by engineers and scientists, experienced in the mining, refining and entomological industries and familiar with materials handling processes.

Refuse Derived Reductant™
Unique to the ARC Process™ is our patent-pending technology for
isolating and processing plastics and other non-digestible
organics into Refuse-Derived Reductant. Our RDR product is a
dense solid that has a high carbon content, few impurities and
an energy density approaching that of anthracite coal. As such,
it is a low-cost alternative to the use of high-grade coal or
coke in industrial applications such as smelting or the
manufacture of steel or other processes that require the use of
a highly efficient fuel or reducing agent.
